Do you know the #1 killer of teams? Over support. When team members support an idea they really don’t believe in because they think they are being “good team members”.
I can’t prove this but I believe a killer of speeches, not the #1 killer, but a killer is over preparation. Most people under prepare. Over preparation has a whole set of different, negative, ineffective consequences.
As with many communication challenges, finding that sweet spot in the middle of the continuum is the goal. #prep #overprepared #speaking
