Fifteen years ago I leaned down to pick up Tim, and I never figuratively put him down. Fifteen years ago he was part of a Cocker Spaniel rescue effort. Fifteen years ago he rescued me from a dog-less life. Fifteen years and now he is gone.
Many of you have met Tim over the years. For fifteen years he came to work with me almost every day. Patiently sleeping next to me in my coaching room whether it was 7am or 7pm. If you met Tim you know he was special. He didn’t come near you, he didn’t ask you to pet him or give him a treat. He just lived in his own world. I was the only one in his world . . . unless I wasn’t home and there was a thunderstorm. Then he included Moshe in his world.
There will never be another Tim. He counted in 5 languages, followed me everywhere even when he was almost blind, and defied all odds of living with a heart murmur.
He was 13 when I brought Natcha back from Mexico. If you ever wonder about bringing home a puppy when you have an older dog, Just Do It. I believe her energy and enthusiasm extended his life. Now she has to forge a life without her mentor.

He had a canine cardiologist. Thank you Dr. Hitchcock.
He had an oncologist and an oncology surgeon.
Thank you department at Metro Vet Hospital.
He got his dementia medicine from Dancing Paws, where by the
way he went with Missy to every one of her water treadmill sessions.
He had his family vet, Dr. Chris at Cuyahoga Vet, who
helped him twice every month and then to cross over the bridge.
Thank you to his two doggy sitters, Kate and Sue.
Sincerely,

Rainbow Bridge
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….
